There is no worse
tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you
think it would be good for him. – Robert A. Heinlein
Today the United States Supreme Court allowed the expansion
of government over not just actions but the lack of them. Going forward, not
only can actions be taxed, but the lack of an action can be compelled by
taxation or imprisonment. This is blatant tyranny, indeed it is slavery to the
whim of Congress and the dictates of the imperial Presidency. Let me re-phrase
that:
Congress may now pass
laws forcing you to ACT. If you refuse, you may legally be FINED and/or
IMPRISONED. YOU ARE A SLAVE. You may not “opt out” without penalty.
Many have warned of the loss of Liberty, of the destruction
of Law, the prevalence of corruption. We see it every institution of our
society. The manipulation of government for private ends has reached a zenith
not seen since the creation of the Federal Reserve. Now, in addition to a
currency controlled and manipulated by private interests for private gains at
the expense of the public, we have a health care system re-born as the bastard
child of socialists and giant insurance companies. You do not even have the
choice of not participating – it’s mandatory.
In 1864, the Republican Party began the process of passing
the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution. It was part of
the Platform of the Party, and it was finally sent to the states on the last
day of January, 1865. It took until December to pass a sufficient number of
states and become law. It reads:
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude,
except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly
convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this
article by appropriate legislation.
Today, the Republican Party must rise up once again and
throw off this new master – the Federal Government. The chains of oppression are constructed of
debt and obligation, incurred by evil men blind to the Rights of their
Brothers. At all levels of government, we must overthrow those who would
enslave us. Any expansion of the State must be met with a cry for Liberty,
while we still have the ability to do so.
In questions of power,
let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by
the chains of the Constitution – Thomas Jefferson
